Improving the Wix Mobile app

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share with the community and Wix developers a few thought about the Wix Mobile apps and how to improve it IMHO.

Internal links : there’s actually no way to redirect to another tab. That would be very useful especially when you have more than 5 (then you don’t obviously see the opter tabs)
Links : clicking on a link will lead you out of the app, which is not very user friendly. Links should open within the app
Languages : Wix website has a multilingual capacities and that was a huge step for us. Bet Wix mobile app doesn’t. Is there any plan on this? It highlights the facts that many Wix app can’t be translated actually which is a pity when all your site is translated except those pieces
Loading : the app is very slow loading pages. It doesn’t’ fit with the high class standard of the user interface
Relation with the web site : actually there seems to be conflicts when editing elements from the website of the app (for Wix challenges especially), as changes are not to taken into account in both interface
Access to medias : this is related to the last point. From the app, there is only one access to a collection of selected medias and there is actually no possibility to access to the web site file or the smartphone’s folder or apps.
Other app Integration : The idea of creating a community and manage customers from the app is great. But more apps should be integrated to keep the community engaged! I’m thinking about a rewards section or a music integration
White labelling : building a whole interface with such a potential would require a proper app!
Road map : further information about what’s planned should be more accessible

@guillaume - I have a question for you. Are you using the App for a community or for your clients? Or maybe for your clients’ communities? I’m just curious. Also, would you be interested in a feedback session with the App team?

@brett i’m using the app to build a community but i’m also willing to sell them a few events/conferences. So both ways in fact. And yes i would be interested to have a call with the team app !

I AGREE!!! the app is horribly slow to load and respond. I have to use it for my business number and it takes me almost a full minute to get into where I need to and get the call going.

Hi there - this definitely shouldn’t be the case! If you’ve already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, you may want to reach out to our customer care team so they can investigate further.

It would be great to manage our business on the go with the wix app. Be able to check our contact list coming in from the marketplace to respond via the app via the inbox (WHICH I HATE ON THE NEW CRM), which is not currently possible. Access workflows (like trello app), create/edit automations, anything we can do on the computer to keep our business running but can do if not near one.

On second thought, this should be a second stand alone partner app.

A second stand alone partner app or a better integrated current app is really needed to manage clients, sites, and the communities while not at a desktop. It would make us more productive and responsive. Thanks!

I would love to see multi language ability on the spaces part of my site. I am an author and have translated my site into my reader regions, but when they go to use the app they’re stuck with English.
