New Feature: New Action in Automation: Send SMS

This is a feature request from our partners, and it’s live! This is only for Wix Business Phone Numbers.

Users will get different sms/Automation quotas, depending on the business number package purchased:

  • 1st tier: 10 times per month + user gets 1 extra automation in Automations

  • 2nd tier: 200 times per month + user gets 3 extra automation in Automations

  • 3rd tier: 10,000 times per month + user gets 10 extra automation in Automations

The automated SMS will appear in the user Inbox for each contact that got the sms (silent message, doesn’t bring the conversation up).
Since this is the user’s business phone number, the contacts will also be able to reply to this sms (supporting 2 way conversation).

The feature already comes with 2 automations:

  • Send callers an SMS when you miss their call

  • Send back an auto-SMS when you get an SMS

Hello @brett ,
Is the “business number package” offer planned for the European market soon?
Because I am already using a competing solution and if Wix offers something, i would be interested in testing its VOIP solution.

The support article says it is only available in Canada, US and the UK - https://support.wix.com/en/article/business-phone-number-getting-a-phone-number

But obviously Brett might be able to help with future plans :facepunch:

Was super excited about this and was about to purchase but the amount of messages is way too low compared to other options. Really disappointed. It would be so much easier to set up automated text like this vs connecting to a 3rd party. Twilio is 0.0075, can send over 1,000 messages. Manychat you get much more text plus a chatbot. Wish there was an option just for automated text because for those of us who don’t need to use the other features, just automated text.

Me too, I did the exact samething. Was planning on running an ad, but the limits are way to low. When I saw only 10 - 200 messages can be sent per month I was shocked. I see I wasn’t the only one.

Any update for this functionality?

We really want this functionality in Latin America, especially that it is connected to the Partner Panel and Marketplace.
